Scotland to Newcastle Ferry

We boarded the Newcastle ferry with our van, Winnie, in the late afternoon. It was an ex-cruiseboat so we started with drinks and nibblies on the top deck. Being summer we had lots of hours of daylight with great views of the English coastline as we travelled out of the Tyne River (see priory ruins top photo) and then south. Eventually we turned east and headed towards Amsterdam.
